Finance Director/Treasurer

$85,000

This is a full-time position with a variety of accounting and administrative duties, including responsibility for the collection, receipt, accounting, disbursal and deposit of all Village funds. The Finance Director is responsible for the administrative oversight, visioning, leadership, planning, and management of the financial aspects of the Village. This position has oversight over investments, financial forecasting, budget development and monitoring, central financial accounting and reporting, and administration of the Village’s financial system. 

A degree in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field is required. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to possession of a bachelor’s degree with course work in accounting, general office procedures, and five years’ professional experience in finance. Any combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent as is described above. 

Zoning & Code Compliance Officer

$25 per hour plus benefits

The Zoning & Code Compliance Officer is a full-time position.  This person will perform skilled, technical work to interpret and ensure compliance with the zoning code and other municipal codes or ordinances, such as Zoning, Property Maintenance, Parking, and Nuisances, among others.  Duties include conducting visual inspections of properties, coordinating investigations and inspections, and providing support to Village staff related to planning and zoning.  This role includes inputting data, documenting communications, researching laws, and other skills on a computer, tablet, and smartphone as well as the ability to write letters and citations.

Education such as a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, Planning, Public Administration, Geography, or Sociology is preferred or equivalent work experience.  Three years of direct employment experience in the public sector is preferred.  This person must have a valid driver’s license and a willingness to use their own transportation to perform their duties within the Village. 

Bus Driver

$22 per hour

This is a part-time, seasonal position.  This person is responsible for driving, general operation, and routine maintenance of the Village bus.  The work schedule involves evening or night hours, weekends, and some holiday hours. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.   

Marina Maintenance Technician

$20-24 per hour

This is a part-time, seasonal position.  This person is responsible for general maintenance and maintenance projects at the Sister Bay Marina.  The work schedule may involve evenings, weekends, and some holiday hours.  Marina maintenance includes basic carpentry, painting, plumbing repair, and electrical repairs or trouble-shooting. 

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.  Employee should be experienced in carpentry and basic maintenance.

The Sister Bay Utilities is also seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Water & Wastewater Operator

This is a full-time position at Sister Bay Utilities with benefits.  This is a skilled position, and this person is expected to perform, understand, and complete a variety of tasks in the field of wastewater and water treatment, plant operation, and testing. 

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Certifications in Water and Wastewater are desirable but not required.  Weekend and holiday hours will be required on a rotational basis for wastewater testing, data recording, and monitoring.  This person may also be asked to respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies as they arise.

Wages for an uncertified operator start at $26 per hour and increase based on experience and certifications.
