The Sister Bay Green Tier Legacy Community Committee was established in 2021 and is tasked with suggesting and engaging in activities that lead to environmentally counscious living. Green Tier communities advocate for a healthier environment by promoting recycling opportunities, tree preservation, clean water activities, community gardening, and other actions a citizen can engage in to help improve the natural environment. They also promote a heathier lifestyle and are currently looking into policies the village could adopt to ensure that their decisions keep health in mind, as well as exploring a Blue Zone program for Sister By, or possibly, all of Door County.
