The Sister Bay Green Tier Legacy Community Committee was established in 2021 and is tasked with suggesting and engaging in activities that lead to environmentally conscious living. Green Tier communities advocate for a healthier environment by promoting recycling opportunities, tree preservation, clean water activities, community gardening, and other actions a citizen can engage in to help improve the natural environment. They also promote healthier lifestyles for community members. Click HERE to view the most recent Annual Report.

Some things you can do for more environmentally conscious living:

  • Compost! Composting helps our community divert food scraps and organic matter from landfills, reduces plant-warming gases, and restores the help of Door County soils. For more information see the Climate Change Coalition of Door County website. Climate Change Door County
  • Always bring a reusable bag with you when shopping - preferably our new "Green Sister Bay" canvas grocery bags that were given away at Marina Fest!
