We have been made aware of a scam targeting Plan Commission applicants using fake invoices that appear to come from the Village. These fraudulent emails use the Village logo, reference publicly posted agenda materials, and request payment—often around $4,900—by wire transfer for supposed services. The Village only invoices applicants through our HeyGov portal and will never request payment by wire transfer. If you receive a suspicious invoice or payment request claiming to be from the Village, do not send payment and contact Village Hall immediately.
